The No.1 Barbers team recently swapped scissors for steering wheels as both our Fenny Stratford and Campbell Wharf barbers headed to Formula Fast Indoor Karting in Bletchley for a community-focused team-building day. Celebrating our commitment to supporting local Milton Keynes businesses, the event saw friendly rivalry between the two shop teams as they battled for the title of Fastest Barber. After plenty of competitive laps, Dave from our Fenny Stratford shop claimed the top spot. The day highlighted our dedication to teamwork, local partnerships, and the vibrant community that surrounds both No.1 Barbers locations.
At No.1 Barbers, community means everything to us. So for our latest team building event, we decided to head just around the corner from our Fenny Stratford shop to Formula Fast Indoor Karting in Bletchley a venue known not only for incredible racing experiences, but also for being a true Milton Keynes success story. Even Red Bull Racing F1 Team has filmed there so naturally, we thought it was the perfect place to put our team of barbers to the test!
Formula Fast is one of MK’s top independent attractions, and we’re proud to shout about it. We love using and promoting local businesses whenever we can just as we encourage our customers to support small and independent shops like ours.
Having world class karting just minutes from our Fenny Stratford barbershop makes it the ideal spot for a team day out. Their staff were brilliant, the track is fast (very fast!), and the whole experience reminded us why Milton Keynes is such a great place to work and grow as a business.
Fenny Stratford vs Campbell Wharf: Who Is the Fastest Barber?
With the track set and the helmets on, the question of the day was simple:
Which team is faster the barbers from Fenny Stratford or the barbers from Campbell Wharf?
Most of our barbers had very little racing experience, but that didn’t stop the competitive spirit from kicking in immediately. There were a few bold moves, a few questionable braking points, and a lot of laughter from start to finish.
After plenty of laps and a very closely-fought leaderboard, we finally had our champion…

Dave’s slight bit of experience, smooth lines and lightning pace secured the win, earning him major bragging rights until our next rematch. The CW team put up a strong fight, but this time, Fenny Stratford took the crown!
